Use this essential tool and its convenient measure marks to ensure you are properly filling your jars. Guessing or “eyeballing” headspace is a sure-fire way to cause a jar not to seal! Place the tool on the rim of your jar using the recipes measurements allowing the tip of the tool to touch the food. If the tip is submerged, adjust the headspace by removing food or liquid.
