I am often asked what I use to keep rabbits and deer out of my garden. For the last 20 years I have steadfastly used Deer Scram. It is an all-natural granular repellent that is safe to use around humans and pets. For me, that was the main selling feature as I do not use chemicals in my garden.
Deer scram stimulates a strong fear response by emitting an odor that deer and rabbits associate with their dead kin. It repels the animal before they nibble on plants. Deer scram does not have an unpleasant odor to humans, but discourages unwanted animals from returning to the protected area.
