In this hour-long session, you’ll learn the essential techniques of both water bath and pressure canning, proper storage techniques and their importance, and the critical role of time, temperature, and acidity in creating shelf-stable, ready-to-eat meals.
Diane will break down how to guard against foodborne pathogens while showing you how to build a secure, nutritious food supply that supports your preparedness goals. Whether you’re brand new to canning or looking to sharpen your skills, this class will give you the confidence to preserve everything from garden produce to soups and meats.
This presentation is interactive, with Q&A woven throughout so attendees can get their questions answered on the spot. Diane’s approachable teaching style ensures you’ll walk away with practical knowledge on food storage techniques, food safety, and creating your own canning calendar—whether for everyday living or long-term emergency preparedness.
What to Expect at Prepper Camp 2025
Prepper Camp 2025 offers 64 classes a day, 8 classes each hour, for 8 hours each day, all 3 days of the event. Not only will you be able to go to scheduled classes, but you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a number of different areas of preparedness. Rick Austin, also known as The Godfather of Prepping, and his wife Jane, known as Survivor Jane, were featured on National Geographic Channel “Doomsday Preppers” have devoted this weekend to educating people to be prepared no matter what life throws their way.
