Named One of the Best Food Preservation Books for 2020

I am so excited to share with you a recent article written by Valerie Lindhoff of UpJourney titled, The 25 Best Food Preservation Books where she shares her review of the best food preservation books for 2020. is a site dedicated to helping people find resources for self-improvement and helps readers find articles, courses and books to improve their life.  Valerie owns a website called Contain It, Grow It and proudly calls herself a Garden Girl.  She has a passion for growing great food year-round and loves all things “garden” in this world.

What I loved best about Valerie’s dedication to finding the best food preservation books on the market was that she took time to read and use each book. I am so thankful she actually made my recipes from my book, The Complete Guide to Pressure Canning, so she could immerse herself in my writings and my recipes and truly share what she loved most about me as an author and a recipe creator.  This, ladies and gentlemen, is how you properly give a book review!

The Complete Guide to Pressure Canning by Diane Devereaux

Here are a few things she had to say about The Complete Guide to Pressure Canning,

”This book has great recipes for Meals-In-A-Jar, which means…no need to cook meat, or chop veggies… just pop the top of the jar, warm it up and serve it to the hungry hippos called my family.”

“This book is easy to read, fun to create tasty tidbits and has definitely decreased the number of “fast food” trips our family takes since now I can have a good, healthy home-cooked meal ready to go in 15 minutes. The Enchilada Chicken Soup and Homemade Spaghetti sauce are all-time favorites!”

Be sure to check out her full review of The Complete Guide to Pressure Canning as well as 24 other exciting titles such as The Encyclopedia of Country Living by Carla Emery, Root Cellaring: Natural Cold Storage of Fruits and Vegetables by Mike and Nancy Bubel and How to Dry Foods by Deanna DeLong.

Here is an inside view of what you can expect from The Complete Guide to Pressure Canning.

Be sure to share this blog post with your fellow food preservationists and gardeners so they too can add to their supply of cookbooks and sustainability instructional books.

If you grow you should know how to preserve the fruits of your labor!

Happy Canning everyone~
